This is the craziest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Wow!

But this one is particularly fun in my opinion. Via Sweetney

MPOW is planning a digital media lab and I’ve been spending some time lately thinking about all the things that should go into a space like that when it’s part of a public library. What kinds of computers, software, gadgets, chairs, tables, artwork, etc should be included? What should the space look and feel like? I visited Loyola University’s Lakeshore campus last week and was really impressed with what I saw, especially the Digital Media Lab. Check out the photos I took of it and the rest of their Info Commons, which is amazing. I’ve also been following the development of Salinas PL’s Digital Arts Lab [photos] and [blog]. Good stuff!

Maybe we should just make it look like the inside of an Apple store? I’m only half-joking. Hmm…maybe Apple won’t like that? And maybe people will come in expecting to be able to purchase Apple stuff?

Are there other computer lab environments that you’ve visited and loved? Let me know!
